Lollapalooza Chile Rocks with Brickcom Cameras!

Lollapalooza is an annual music festival featuring popular alternative rock, heavy metal, punk rock and hip hop bands, dance and comedy performances, and craft booths. This great all-weekend-long music festival has been active for 15 years and is an international tour among the US, Chile, Brazil and Israel.

For the Lollapalooza music festival in Chile this year, Mobile Security provided the IP video surveillance system for the real-time public monitoring and control purposes. Due to the huge crowd size of more than 250,000 people, the cameras must be capable of overseeing the crowd while at the same time viewing the specific spots if necessary. Furthermore, Lollapalooza is an all-weekend-long outdoor music festival and runs throughout the day, therefore the cameras must be outdoor-rate and able to deliver high-quality video during the day and at night.

Mobile Security selected the Brickcom OB-500Af and OSD-040 and MD-100Ae cameras to build the IP surveillance system. The OB-500Af is an outdoor bullet camera supporting up to the 5-megapixel resolution, therefore is able to deliver the detailed image even if installed at heights. The OSD-040 outdoor speed dome camera is equipped with the 36X optical zoom lens module, and supports the 360° continuous panning, -10° ~ 190° tilting range, and a rotation speed of 0.5° ~ 400° per second to provide the accurate view and immediate response to the PTZ commands. The MD-100Ae outdoor vandal-proof mini dome IP network camera is EN-50155 vibration-resistant and can deliver the HDTV video, therefore a few of this camera were installed around the stage to stream out the fever of the show.
